About Academics Unit

The goal of the Academic, Training, Innovation and Research unit of Central Board of Secondary Education is to achieve academic excellence by conceptualising policies and their operational planning to ensure balanced academic activities in the schools affiliated to the Board. The Unit strives to provide Scheme of Studies, curriculum, academic guidelines, textual material, support material, enrichment activities and capacity building programmes. The unit functions according to the broader objectives set in the National Curriculum Framework-2005 and in consonance with various policies and acts passed by the Government of India from time to time.

What's new in CBSE Exams 2021

The Board reduced the CBSE Syllabus 2021 by 30 per cent due to COVID19 pandemic followed by extended lockdowns leading to delay in the commencement of the academic session. It is planning to further slash the syllabus.

According to the data shared by CBSE, a total of 1,46,604 students appeared for Class 10 Compartmental Exams of which 82,903 students cleared the exam in 2020. The overall pass percentage for CBSE 10th Compartmental Exam Result 2020 was 55.56%.For Class 12th, a total of 105847 students appeared for the Compartment examinations of which 62904 students cleared the. The overall pass percentage was 59.43.
